IBK Industrial Bank of Korea has officially announced their breakup with Jo Song-hwa.

We have decided not to pay the remaining salaries by returning the reason for contract termination to the player.

IBK announced today (13th), "We have decided to terminate the player contract for Jo Song-hwa."

The club continued, "On November 26, the KOVO Reward and Punishment Committee requested a review of Jo Song-hwa for violating the player contract, but the reward and punishment committee put a decision on hold on December 10 due to limitations in understanding the facts." It is the position that Songhwa's contention regarding the reasons for disciplinary action at the reward and punishment committee is very different from the facts that the club is aware of."

"Regardless of the decision to suspend reward and punishment, we will determine that Song-hwa Jo's behavior constitutes a serious violation of the player contract, and will proceed with the separation procedure according to the player contract, laws, and federation regulations."

An official from the club said in a phone call with SBS, "It is contained in the press release, but we informed the player that the remaining salaries will not be paid because they believe there is a serious violation of the player contract."

As the club came out with a tough response, a court battle with Song-hwa Jo became inevitable.

A high-ranking club official said, "We have sent the club's position as proof of content." "If there is a legal dispute, we will respond accordingly."
