After the draw against Norway, Sweden had put itself in a good starting position to reach the quarterfinals.

But then, first and foremost, a win against Romania was required.

Initially, Romania kept pace with the favorite lost Sweden.

But a Swedish jerk would come at the end of the first half.

The goalkeeper game held the positions at the same time as the offensive delivered.

Sweden was able to score four unanswered goals and went to the break with 19-14 in the back.

Sweden started strongly in the second half but five minutes in it would start to go troll in the offensive.

Instead, Romania was getting closer and closer and were two hits behind.

But Sweden would get the machinery in order and halfway into the second half came another jerk - much thanks to Jenny Carlson who scored four goals in four finishes when Sweden went up to a new five-goal lead.

In the end, it was a Swedish victory with 34-30.

Now you have to wait a few hours for a possible quarter-final place as the result in Norway-Netherlands, which starts at 20.30, decides Sweden's fate.

Sweden tops the group with eight points, one point ahead of the Netherlands and Norway.

Since Sweden won against Romania, they proceed as follows:

  • The Netherlands or Norway win.

  • Netherlands-Norway play a draw and score 30 goals or less.

  • Since Sweden won by more than two balls, the Netherlands and Norway can play 31-31.
