First, the competition had to be postponed for half an hour due to winds, and when it was time for the competition, Mikaela Shiffrin took a big lead.
A lead that Lara Gut-Behrami was about to take over - but then she lost control shortly before the finish line and drove straight through the safety net at high speed.
The crash looked nasty and Mikaela Shiffrin looked badly affected when she turned her face away from the replay photos.
But gratifyingly enough, Lara Gut-Behrami got up and went from there seemingly unharmed and skied down to the finish.
The competition is currently canceled.
