After a good start, Elvira Öberg shot away completely and finished in 17th place in Friday's sprint.

This meant that she "only" started in 17th place in today's hunt start, with over one and a half minutes up to leading Hana Sola, and 46 seconds to the podium.

Blocked at first

But today it went all the better for little sister Öberg, who had no less than four Swedes ahead of her in the starting list.

Although she missed a shot in the initial shooting, it was then full on the next two visits to the dike.

Went fast

Before the fourth and final shot, she was four, but when the third Dzinara Alimbekava blocked a shot, Elvira Öberg had the chance to get up to third place, if she shot full.

And she did.

When she left the embankment, she had just over 14 seconds down to Belarusian, and with Elvira Öberg's fine form of ride, there was never any talk that the podium was hers.

She finished third, 23.3 seconds behind victorious Marte Olsbu Röiseland, and 19 behind runner-up Hana Sola.

- I'll finally get what I have!

I am so damn happy with the implementation in this race, says Elvira Öberg to SVT Sport.

- I'm so happy with this.

"Been so frustrating"

She was most pleased with her shooting.

- I have not shot a single zero in standstill since Idre, and it has been so frustrating, because I know I have it in me and I know what I can do, she says.

- I'm really proud.

It's one of the best races I've done, and I'm really, really happy with the day.

The winner started as third

Norway's Marte Olsbu Röiseland won.

She started as third, with a full 50 seconds up to Hana Sola, Belarus.

However, Sola blocked three shots, unlike Röiseland's one - and that was enough.

- Impressive, says SVT Sports expert Björn Ferry.

Sweden impressed overall.

As many as five Swedes finished among the top 20, with Stina Nilsson in tenth place as the biggest exclamation point.
