Algeria defeats Morocco and qualifies for the Arab Cup semi-finals

The Algerian national team managed to defeat its Moroccan counterpart 5-3 on penalties, and qualify for the semi-finals of the Arab Football Cup held in Qatar, in an exciting match, on Sunday night.

The Algerian team will meet its Qatari counterpart in the semi-finals of the Arab Cup, next Wednesday, while the Tunisian team will face its Egyptian counterpart in the same round.

The Algerian team advanced through Yacine Brahimi from a penalty kick in the 62nd minute, before Mohamed Nahiri equalized for the Moroccan team in the 64th minute.

In the tenth minute of the first extra period, Youssef Al-Bilaili scored the second goal for the Algerian team, before Badr Banoun equalized for the Moroccan team in the sixth minute of the second overtime period.

The two teams went to penalty kicks from the penalty mark, which smiled at the Algerian team, which outperformed its opponent 5-3.
