Egypt defeats Jordan in extra time and sets a date with Tunisia in the Arab Cup semi-finals

The Egyptian team qualified with difficulty for the semi-finals of the Arab Football Cup after beating the Jordanian team 3/1 during the match that brought them together today, Saturday, in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

The Jordanian team advanced with a goal scored by Yazan Al-Nuaimat in the 12th minute, and the Egyptian team tied with a goal scored by Marwan Hamdi in the first minute of stoppage time for the first half.

The original time of the match ended with a 1-1 draw, before they played two overtime periods.

Ahmed Refaat managed to score the second goal for the Egyptian team in the first extra period in the 99th minute, then Marwan Daoud scored the third goal for the Egyptian team in the last minute of the second overtime period.

The Egyptian team will meet its Tunisian counterpart in the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Egyptian team qualified for this round after leading the fourth group, while the Jordanian team qualified for this round as the runner-up of the third group.
