<Reporter> At the

first world championships, 19-year-old

Shin-

rok lifted a barbell without hesitation.

After setting a Korean record of 132 kg in the hike and taking the first place by 1 kg, he did not reach his best record in the jerk, but in the second stage, he lifted 156 kg and also won the second gold medal by 1 kg.

Shin-rok, who won the championship with 288 kg in total, became the first Korean athlete to win three gold medals at the World Championships, including impression, jerk, and total.

[Shin-Rok/Weightlifting National Team: I have won three gold medals, so I’m not really feeling it yet and I’m so happy.]

Shin-Rok, who has stood out since middle school, set a Korean record in the total with Yongsang two months ago, and then swept the world stage. I did.

Although the strongest China did not appear in this tournament, the total Korean record held by Shinrok is already growing rapidly enough to match the bronze medal record at the Tokyo Olympics, raising expectations.

[New Green/Weightlifting National Team: We are not satisfied with this and will show you our best efforts with the goal of winning gold medals at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou and the 2024 Paris Olympics.]

Eunji Ham, 55 kg in the women's class, lifts 114 kg in the jeep and won a silver medal.
