It has been an eventful day for Sam Hallam.

First he was presented as the new national team captain and then his Växjö Djurgården was penalized on away ice.

Erik Josefsson, 34, congratulates his coach on his success.

- Really well deserved.

I think the whole of Växjö and the whole team treat him to this success and opportunity.

Of course we will miss him as a coach.

I've had him for ten years so it's going to be interesting with a new voice.

But really well deserved and we are happy with him, he says.

Hallam himself says that he has felt appreciated after the news became official.

- I informed the team this morning after the match meeting and genuinely felt that people were happy for me.

I got the same kind of appreciation after the math scene today.

It is clear that it means a lot.

I hope that people can feel that this can be a last match for me and if the guys can then step up some extra percentage for that, we can have a fun end to this year, he says.
