The reigning champion coach and the triple Swedish SM gold winner Sam Hallam takes over Tre Kronor after resigning Johan Garpenlöv.

SVT Sport is experiencing this.

He has for some time been the union's first choice.

Now SVT can tell that the parties have reached an agreement and it extends over four years.

It was ten seasons in Växjö for the 42-year-old who built up a strong CV despite his young age in these contexts.

He is a respected name and is described as a prodigy as a leader, he started his coaching career already as a 25-year-old in Karlskoga.

- To have the opportunity to lead Tre Kronor is a great honor.

The challenge feels incredibly inspiring, and if I look back at the coaches who had the role before, I also become very proud, says Hallam to the hockey association's website.

The contract with Sam Hallam is written for the season 2025/2026, which includes the hockey world cup for men at home 2025 and the Olympics 2026.

Sam Hallam has led Växjö to Swedish Championship gold in 2015, 2018 and 2021.
