He wants to continue playing as long as possible, if there is no doubt.

But Zlatan Ibrahimovic would not be Zlatan if he did not also have plans for the future.

- I want to stay in Milan for the rest of my life, says Ibra.

His words came live on Italian television on Monday night.

Zlatan was a guest on the very popular TV show "Che tempo fa" (what is the weather) in RAI with host Fabio Fazio.

When asked how it is possible to extend his contract with Milan, which expires after this season, Zlatan answered with a big smile - and made it clear that he wants to extend.

- Now we take the opportunity here to put pressure on Milan!

Because I want to stay there for the rest of my life, Ibra said.

Creates great headlines

His words are getting a lot of attention in Italy, where Zlatan is currently seen even more than usual, thanks to the book release.

He participates almost daily in major interviews in both television and newspapers.

In the book "Adrenalina", which is released in Sweden today, he reveals many things - even that he would like to see a future as sports director in a large club.

"Last summer, when I did not know what would happen to Milan, I contacted PSG and offered my positions as sports director," says Zlatan in the book.

The revelation creates big headlines in both France and Italy but is seen primarily as a way for Zlatan to prepare Milan for what he wants - the day he is forced to put his shoes on the shelf.

"Want to stay in international top football"

- Ibra has had these thoughts for a long time.

We have talked a lot while working on the book, says Luigi Garlando, a respected journalist and the person who wrote the book together with Zlatan.

Garlando rules out that Ibra moves home and gets a role in Hammarby, which has been speculated about.

- With all due respect, Zlatan wants to stay in international top football, stay on the biggest stages, the arenas, in those contexts.

And he would prefer to live in Italy, Garlando tells SVT.

He and many other Italian footballers estimate that a number of clubs will be interested in having Zlatan in their club machinery and as a front man, when he stops playing.

However, Ibra says in several interviews, also in "Che tempo fa" that he, even now at the age of 40, hopes that day will be delayed.

- I want to continue playing with Milan and play the World Cup if I am taken out there.

I'm afraid of what's going to happen the day I stop playing, I do not want it to end.
