The move to Bayern Munich this summer has so far not turned out as Sofia Jakobsson had hoped.

The Swedish national team striker came with a fresh Olympic silver in his luggage, but has instead sat on the bench most of the autumn in the tough competition in the German champion team.

Before the latest national team gathering, her first goal came in the Bayern Munich shirt, but so far she has not played a full match for her new club.

- I have not been allowed to play as much as I had hoped for.

It is clear that it is a certain frustration, because you always want to play, says the 31-year-old in a telephone interview before Thursday's Champions League match against Häcken.

- But if I get the chance, I'm ready.

"Affects one"

Unlike in Real Madrid, which has not had as far in its investment, the competition in Bayern Munich is fierce.

But it's just to continue to do their best in training, says Sofia Jakobsson.

- I drive on in training and try to show the coach that I am the one to play, she says.

- It has felt good this week, so I hope for playing time against Häcken and get to prove that I am still in good shape.

Physically, there are no problems, she continues.

But whether the shape lasts for 90 minutes is harder to know.

Because even if the training is intense, there will not often be games all over the field.

- I have not started in so many matches and have not played a full 90-minute match since I came here, says Sofia Jakobsson.

- It is clear that it affects the shape a bit, even if the physics still feels very good.

But it is clear that it affects one, otherwise it would be strange.

Did the homework?

Bayern Munich is second in the Champions League group ahead of the final two matches, just behind the French big club Lyon.

When Häcken visited Munich last autumn, it was a clear victory for the home team, 4-0.

But with a new coach in Häcken, the chilly weather and the artificial turf at Hisingen, it will be a completely new match on Thursday, Sofia Jakobsson points out.

- We have a very broad squad with many players, while Häcken may have a smaller squad and have played a long season.

I thought we felt fresher in that match and scored on our goal chances, she says.
