On Sunday, Tiger Woods dressed as we know him on the final day of a tournament since the beginning of his terrific career: black pants, red shirt.

But the long-time golf leader did not even play in his invitation tournament, the Hero World Challenge.

It won the Norwegian Viktor Hovland.

But during the six days in Albany, Bahamas, the tournament was mostly a minor matter.

Woods' first public appearance since his serious car accident in February near Los Angeles revolved around the superstar - mainly because he trained for several days and was constantly filmed.

The Woods Show started on Tuesday.

The American, who will be 46 years old at the end of the month, recounted his medical history in detail at a press conference.

He reported how, after the many open fractures on the tibia and fibula of his right leg, he even had to fear that an amputation would be necessary.

But after three weeks in a hospital, followed by three months in a sick bed in his home in Jupiter, Florida, after weeks in a wheelchair, Woods can walk without crutches again, even if he limps visibly. But what his practice lessons in the Bahamas demonstrated: Woods still has a great golf swing.

Woods, however, dampened the hopes of all fans for a quick comeback: "To see that some of my punches fall out of the sky much shorter than they used to be is a little eye-opening, but at least I'm able to do it again “He said, admitting that he has no schedule for when he will be able to play PGA Tour golf again, if only sporadically.

Woods described his current actions on the course as "hit and giggle golf," which is to hit the ball and then giggle at failure.

But it is precisely for this type of golf that the PNC Championship in Orlando on December 18 and 19 is the perfect opportunity.

At this tournament, where major winners team up with a family member, Woods can drive a golf cart.

And once again, like a year ago when he was plagued by back pain, he can leave the important blows and the leading role to his twelve-year-old son Charlie - a comeback as a proud father.

The organizers are also hoping for that: They still keep one of the twenty starting places open for Team Woods.
