Former Japan national team Takako Nakajima will succeed Masayo Imura, head coach of Japan's artistic swimming team, who had indicated his intention to resign after the Tokyo Olympics.

The Japan Swimming Federation is in the process of selecting a replacement for head coach Imura, the head coach of Artistic Swimming Japan, who had indicated his intention to resign after the Tokyo Olympics. It was decided to become a new head coach.

Mr. Nakajima is 35 years old.

During his active career, he won a silver medal at the world championships under the guidance of head coach Imura.

After retiring from active duty, he trains young people as a coach and also serves as the head coach of the Japanese national team for juniors.

Japan's artistic swimming, which ended without medals at the Tokyo Olympics, will be rebuilt at a rapid pace for the Paris Olympics three years later by a new generation of leaders under the guidance of head coach Imura.
