Mohamed El-Shennawy: The match between Egypt and Algeria is an early final for the Arab Cup

Mohamed El-Shennawy, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team, confirmed that the match against Algeria, scheduled for Tuesday evening, in the third round of the fourth round of the Arab Football Cup, is an early final.

El-Shennawy said in a press conference today, Monday: "It is an early final and it will be a great match for both sides. We respect them and they are also, and I hope that we will have success in tomorrow's match."

He added, "Tomorrow's match is like any other match. The only advantage is that the Algerian national team is a distinguished and strong team, but we have a good spirit and we do everything the technical staff asks for, and the focus will be greater than the previous two matches. This is the only difference."

He explained: "This group of players will play for the first time against the Algerian national team, but we know the history of the previous confrontations between us and them very well. We know that it will be a difficult match, so we will work to make our focus stronger, implement the coach's instructions and work on the small details."

He said, "There are contacts from Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny in order to support the players, as well as from the great players who are here in the tournament. We are working as one group to make the fans happy."

He continued, "Since the new coaching staff took charge and we are one family, this is an advantage for the current group in the national team. There is no difference between big and small, we are all one here, and I am very happy with this spirit."

He explained: "Egypt and Algeria are brothers. Sensitivity exists only on the field, but outside the field we are brothers. Every team is looking for victory, but as soon as the match ends, we shake hands and exchange greetings because, as I said, brothers, and there is no sensitivity outside the stadium."

The Egyptian team had won the first and second matches of the group at the expense of Lebanon and Sudan 1 / zero and 5 / zero, respectively, while the Algerian team beat Sudan 4 / zero in the first match and 2 / zero against Lebanon in the second.
