The Tour de Ski races in Oberstdorf on 31 December and 1 January will be without an audience. This is confirmed by the organizer behind the tour's competitions in Germany, after the public health authority in Bavaria introduced new restrictions to reduce the spread of infection in the area.
The ski jumping week in the World Cup, which is organized the week before the Tour de ski, will also be without an audience.
If the restrictions change in the coming weeks, the organizer can quickly make new decisions, it is announced.
The Tour de Ski begins in the Swiss Lenzerheide on December 28 and ends in the Italian Val di Fiemme on January 4.
