A month before its launch, the 2021 African Nations is threatened with cancellation

The former coach of the Confederation of African Football (C) Mohamed Abdel Moneim Shata, and the former Al-Ahly club star, said that the African Nations Cup is threatened with postponement during the coming period.

Shata added, during television statements: "The stadiums are not ready yet, and if the tournament is not held in Cameroon, it will be canceled."

And the former coach of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, continued: There is pressure on matches on the international agenda in the coming period, which makes it difficult to postpone.

And Qatari press reports had revealed earlier, that there is a tendency in Doha to obtain the rights to organize the African Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2021.

Reports indicated that Doha is trying to persuade the Confederation of African Football to transfer the African Nations Cup to its territory, stressing that Qatar is trying to take advantage of Cameroon's lack of readiness to host Cannes 2021, as well as the unstable health conditions.

The Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to start in Cameroon early next year 2022, from January 9 to February 6.
