The Ski Nordic Combined World Cup was organized in Norway on the 4th, and Japan finished third in the first race of the season by competing in the second half of the cross-country skiing by just 0.1 seconds.

The first match of the group was held on the 4th at the World Cup of the Ski Nordic Combined held in Norway.



This event will be held by four people per team, and will be contested in the first half of the jump and in the second half of the cross-country where each of the four relays 5 kilometers each.



In Japan, Akito Watabe of Ace, Ryota Yamamoto who is good at jumping, Yoshito Watabe's younger brother, and Sora Taniji came together.



In the first half of the jump, which was performed on a normal hill with a hill size of 98 meters, Akito Watabe was 91 meters 50 and Yamamoto was 87 meters. The total points of the four players were 454.1, and they came in 4th place.

The cross-country skiing in the second half was a fierce competition with Austria in 3rd place, 5 seconds behind, and the 4th ace Akito Watabe passed the 18.4km point almost alongside the Austrian players.



Watanabe won the battle that lasted to the end by only 0.1 seconds and finished in 3rd place.



Japan has been on the podium in this event since January last year.



The winner was Norway and the second place was Germany.
