Morocco is close to the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup in Jordan

The Moroccan national team, the defending champion, is close to crossing to the quarter-finals of the Arab Football Cup, by defeating Jordan 4-0 on Saturday at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Qatar, in the second round of Group C competitions.

Yahya Gibran (4), Al-Ahly player Badr Bannoun (25), Mohammed Al-Shaibi (45 +3), and Emirati Al Ain player Sufian Rahimi (88 penalty kick) rotated in scoring the goals of the "Atlas Lions".

With this victory, the Moroccan team raised its score to six points from two consecutive victories after the first over Palestine with the same result, and topped the third group, while Jordan remained second with three points.

Morocco may officially decide its qualification at a later time, if Saudi Arabia draws with Palestine later today, otherwise the "Atlas Lions" will wait until the third and final round in the group stage.
