Newcomers Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth continues to stumble inexorably towards the unrelenting descent from the Bundesliga.

On the 14th matchday, the tied-down bottom conceded their twelfth defeat in a row with a 1: 7 (1: 3) at Bayer Leverkusen and built on the negative record.

The four-time goalscorer for the hosts within 27 minutes in front of 10,455 spectators was the Czech EM star Patrik Schick.

After their third win in a row, Leverkusen continues to lead the chasing group in third behind record champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. In shape, Amine Adli (12th) gave the Werkself an artistic lead. Edmond Tapsoba (17th) followed up with a header goal. Fürth made the connection through Jeremy Dudziak (33.), Piero Hincapie (45.) restored the two-goal lead with his first Bundesliga goal shortly before the break. Schick (49./69./74./76.) Increased after the break and topped up his season account to twelve goals.

Fürth is waiting for the first win of the season and with the eighth defeat away from home this season has already set the number of bankruptcies abroad from the previous only Bundesliga season 2012/13. At that time, the game association was relegated. That’s what it looks like this season too. Since the introduction of the three-point rule in the 1995/96 season, no club has caught up twelve points behind the non-relegation places.

Fürth coach Stefan Leitl had predicted "a very difficult away game" in Leverkusen. The Werkself are "a team that has a lot of potential and a high individual class," said Leitl before the game. He should be right. In front of national coach Hansi Flick, both teams needed a few minutes to find their way into the match in uncomfortable, wet and cold conditions. Then Bayer acted ice cold. The first big chance headed Adli after an exemplary cross from compatriot Moussa Diaby worth seeing into the far corner.

Leverkusen, which in the past few weeks had repeated problems with the conversion of chances, followed suit with the next attack by the free-standing Tapsoba, who scored his first goal of the season.

Previously, the alleged equalizer by Maximilian Bauer was not recognized because of an offside position (15th).

Fürth sniffed through a deep sleep on the Bayer defensive but at least briefly on the second point win of the season.

Bayer captain Lukas Hradecky was powerless with Dudziak's sharp shot.

The same goes for Fürth's goalkeeper Marius Funk at the end of Hincapie, who with the hosts' third shot on goal made the one hundred percent exploitation of the chances in the first half perfect.

In the second half, Leverkusen easily downplayed the lead against discouraged Fürth and increased it with Schick's four goals.
