A negative tie overshadowed the confrontation of Bahrain and Iraq, today, Friday, in the second round of Group A matches in the Arab Football World Cup, which is currently being held in Qatar.

The attempts of the two teams to score any goal throughout the match were unsuccessful, and the match ended in a goalless draw, the first in the tournament that started last Tuesday.

And the Iraqi team raised its score to two points, after drawing in the first match with its Omani counterpart 1-1, and it occupies second place, a point behind the Qatari team, which faces Oman on Friday evening.

With this result, the Bahraini team won the first point in the tournament, after losing in the first round against Qatar 1-0.

In the third and final round of the group stage, the Iraqi team will face its host Qatar, while the Bahraini team will play its Omani counterpart.
