PSG have announced that Neymar suffers from a "sprained left ankle" with ligament damage and will be unavailable for 6 to 8 weeks.

Neymar went out on a stretcher in the 87th minute of the league game against Saint-Etienne on Sunday.

Brazilian PSG striker Neymar suffers from a "sprained left ankle" and will be unavailable for 6 to 8 weeks, the club announced on Monday.

"The examinations carried out last night confirm that Neymar suffers from a sprained left ankle with ligament damage. An unavailability of 6 to 8 weeks is to be expected. A new point will be made in 72 hours to specify the evolution", explains the club Parisian in a press release.
