The Swedes did well in the slalom competition in Killington.

Best of all was Sara Hector who came sixth, three places ahead of Anna Swenn Larsson.

But the big exclamation point was 18-year-old Hanna Aronsson Elfman.

She placed personal best with her 15th place and in the second run it was good Shiffrin who was faster than her.

The American was second before the second run, but the leader Petra Vlhova was responsible for a miss and thus Shiffrin won at home.

Third behind the giants Shiffrin and Vlhova and the Swiss Wendy Holdener.

26-year-old Shiffrin now has only 15 victories up to Ingemar Stenmark's record.
