President Herbert Hainer from the German soccer record champions Bayern Munich wants to approach the critical fans after the chaos at the annual general meeting (AGM).

Hainer called club member Michael Ott on Saturday to arrange a personal meeting.

His application to end the Qatar sponsorship at the YHV on Thursday had been rejected by the club.

As a result, there were riots.

"We briefly exchanged information about the AGM and stayed that way that we will have a personal conversation about Qatar and the AGM," reported Ott on Twitter.

When this conversation will take place has not yet been determined.

"What is certain, however, is that the conflict must be resolved," wrote Ott.

The team and coach Julian Nagelsmann see it that way.

For the coach, the general meeting was “not necessarily the right setting to discuss the problem, a discussion on a smaller scale makes more sense”.

With Hainer's call, "the first step has been taken, there will be solutions".

Topics like these are moving and it is important to deal with them.

It's about finding the best solution for Bayern Munich.

Captain Manuel Neuer called it "very important that the club enters into a dialogue with the fans".

He reported on Sky from a conversation that he had had some time ago on the Qatar issue with the board of directors.

"You are a sponsor on the jersey we wear," he emphasized the importance.

According to Thomas Müller, the tumult was "definitely not good for the outside world".

"You don't have to be an expert to be able to judge that." He also said: "We would do well to enter the discussion." He spoke out in favor of an objective exchange with the fans.

This was "perhaps not done satisfactorily at this event," said Müller on Sky after Munich's 1-0 victory over Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday evening.

Nagelsmann does not see the daily business as being influenced by the unrest.

“The JHV topic didn't put a lot of strain on the team,” he said.

He also doesn't feel left alone by the silent bosses.

“I don't have the feeling that I need that much support,” he said on ZDF.

Ott had caused a stir with his Qatar application at the YHV of the record champions.

The FCB member wanted to submit a spontaneous application to vote on the sponsorship contract with the airline Qatar Airways, which runs until 2023.

The presidium did not allow that.

Ott had then sharply criticized the behavior of the FCB bosses.

The business relationship with Qatar is a hot topic in the FC Bayern fan scene because of the controversial human rights situation in the host country of the 2022 World Cup and the working conditions on the World Cup construction sites.
