For his part, the head of the Syrian Basketball Federation, Tarif Qutrash, said in a statement published on the official website of the federation: "We do not bear the responsibility for the error in playing the anthem. The mistake is the responsibility of the Kazakh Federation and the Asian Federation, and the hosting Kazakh Federation will have to pay a fine as a result of that mistake."
It is noteworthy that the Syrian team lost the match 74-84, and the return match will be played in Damascus, so that Syria will host the first international sports match since 2011.
Social networking sites were ablaze with angry tweets about the mistake that occurred, demanding the intervention of those responsible for Syrian sports in the case, demanding an apology from the Federation of Kazakhstan and Asia for what happened!
