The Swedish women's national team has had a break before the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia on Tuesday.

Elin Rubensson has suffered from a feeling in her calf, which means that she is leaving the squad.

- Elin got a feeling in her calf during yesterday's training which unfortunately means that she is not available for play in our match against Slovakia on Tuesday.

Elin has now left the collection for further medical follow-up in the club team, says national team doctor Houman Ebrahimi in a press release.

Rubensson is instead replaced by Amanda Nildén, 23. The Juventus player joins from the U23 national team.

- Amanda is a player who is and has been close to the women's national team selections in recent collections.

Among other things, I saw her play live in the match between Juventus and Sampdoria so it feels fun and good to get Amanda here to Malmö and our match on Tuesday, says national team captain Peter Gerhardsson.
