Team building is in full swing ahead of the next season of the elite series in speedway and one of Vetlanda's new drivers stands out.

The club has enrolled soon-to-be 15-year-old Inken Pöker in the squad.

According to the club, she will be the first female driver in the elite series.

- We think it is very important to highlight the girls who are doing speedway.

Everyone who practices this sport and spends such an awful lot of time and energy on this should have the opportunity to be involved and represented in the highest league, says Kling.

Inken Pöker, who started with speedway 2013, will primarily drive in division 1 next season but will, according to Rikard Kling, have the chance to move on if she makes good results there.

- It feels great fun to take the step up, I am very tagged.

Unfortunately, there are not many girls in the sport, but we who are there are really passionate about it, she says in a statement on the club's social media.
