[Explanation] On November 24, the 100-day countdown to the Beijing Paralympic Winter Games was held at the National Swimming Center.
Zhang Jiandong, deputy mayor of Beijing and executive vice chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, announced the Beijing Winter Paralympic Olympic Torch Relay Plan. The relay will be held in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou from March 2nd to 4th, 2022.

After consultation with the International Paralympic Committee, the Beijing Winter Paralympic torch relay plan was formulated, which will be held in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou from March 2nd to 4th, 2022. There are about 600 torchbearers in total. Including two parts of fire gathering and gathering, the torch relay, the fire gathering and gathering ceremony will be held on March 2.
[Commentary] Zhang Jiandong introduced that the torch relay of the Beijing Paralympic Winter Games has the theme of "Meeting the Ice and Snow Covenant and Going to a Better Future" and the slogan of "Health, Happiness and Vitality", which is in line with the theme and slogan of the Beijing Winter Olympics Torch Relay. The torch relay will first be carried out in the Temple of Heaven Park after the fire gathering ceremony. The relay will continue in the three competition areas on the 3rd and 4th, which will fully display the historical and cultural characteristics of the three competition areas, the modern city style and the achievements of ecological civilization construction.
[Explanation] The event invited five special volunteers to the stage, and Zhang Haidi, chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and executive chairman of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, presented them with the flag.
The recruitment of volunteers for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games attracted 2,428 Chinese disabled people to sign up, and 19 people were selected. The oldest of them is 63 years old and the youngest is 19 years old. They will be assigned to the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. Volunteer services were carried out in 18 competition and non-competition venues of the Olympic Games.
[Explanation] The first edition of the "Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics Service Knowledge Handbook" marked in Braille was released at the event site, which embodies humanistic care and leaves a unique Olympic and Paralympic legacy.
[Commentary] It is understood that the Beijing Paralympic Winter Games will open on March 4, 2022 and close on March 13, for a period of 10 days.
