Mohamed Elneny's father clarifies his son's position on playing for Al-Ahly of Egypt

Nasser El-Niny, the father of the Egyptian and Arsenal midfielder, Mohamed El-Niny, confirmed that his son is not thinking of returning to the Egyptian League at the present time, and that everything that is being raised about Al-Ahly’s contract with him is incorrect, as he put it.

Egyptian newspapers and websites, most notably Al-Ahram Gate and the Seventh Day, quoted Nasser El-Nini in televised statements: "Mohamed's contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the current season, and the club did not think to terminate his contract, as was reported recently."

He added that his son participated with Arsenal in the Liverpool match (in the last round of the English Premier League), stressing that "this is evidence of the Arsenal coach's conviction in Muhammad and his capabilities."

Nasser Al-Nini continued: “It is difficult for Muhammad Al-Neni to return to Egypt during the coming period, and everything that is being raised about Al-Ahly’s contract with him is incorrect.”

And the British newspaper, The Sun, revealed last week that Arsenal would terminate Elneny’s contract to allow him to leave the team during the next winter transfer window.
