All indications are that Buffalo had secured a point.

With ten seconds left of regular match time at the position 4-4, the puck was locked in its own corner.

There it seemed to lie safely until a paltry two seconds remained.

Then the puck was released.

Adam Fox came riding, picked it up and quickly passed it on to Mika Zibanejad, who in turn beat it to a defender Ryan Lindgren who got an open goal and could decide.

The clock stopped at 0.7 seconds.

- You look up and see the clock.

One realizes, with five seconds left, that they probably will not make it all the way down (to our goal).

So you sneak up.

Fox got the puck, he hit it to Mika - clearly a great pass from him.

So… a good win, Ryan Lindgren describes the goal at the press conference after the match.

The meeting became a tumultuous story where Buffalo had the lead on three occasions.

Rasmus Asplund gave the visitors a 1-0 lead with a powerplay goal in the first period, while Rasmus Dahlin played until the 3-3 goal and then with a powerful shot followed up the assist with the 4-3 goal.

But Rangers made sure to equalize between goals, and also had the lead for a while in the second period.

- It was an incredible atmosphere, a lot of energy, many turns, which I thought our guys handled well, until there were two seconds left of the match, unfortunately.

It was an unfortunate situation.

We read and did not react well enough here and there, which was disappointing, Buffalo coach Don Granato sums up at the press conference.
