To SVT Sport, Fredrik Joulamo develops what he means by pausing the business:

- In the first place that the time you have for basketball training would instead go to conversations.

In an activity where we have a mandate, for example the national team, we had used all the existing time to first find out what had happened and then possibly start training again.

A police report was made at RIG Mark and the municipality of the principal Mark has started an investigation into the zero culture.

Training and competition matches, on the other hand, have continued as usual for the basketball students.

"Know that you have done a job"

What has caused a stir is above all a mobile film from earlier this autumn, which shows how several older male basketball students attacked a newly moved first-year student in his room and beat him repeatedly with wet towels.

- I know that the school has done a job.

Partly directly linked to what we see in the video and partly linked to how to work preventively in the future.

They are safe in that work and I have no reason not to trust it.

But just when it happened, when the movie broke, then we had paused.

In addition to what has already emerged, have you at the union received any indication of misconduct at school over the years?

- No, we have not received that.

And then, like at all other RIGs, we conduct an annual survey.

I have also been to high school myself on several occasions, including in 2019 before the pandemic, and conducted student interviews about everything possible.

But nothing has emerged in the conversations that indicate anything similar to what we see in the film, says Joulamo and adds:

- Then we had previously asked questions, of course.
