From the first of December, vaccination certificates will be introduced for public events with more than 100 people.

The announcement from the government does not surprise the Swedish Floorball Association, which will host the floorball WC for women in Uppsala between 27 November and 5 December.

- We have anticipated that something would come, and that the step now is vaccination proof and not restrictions, we welcome, of course, says the Swedish Floorball Association's general secretary Mikael Ahlerup.

What do you now need to change about the World Cup?

- That meeting is actually going on, about the concrete details.

But overall, we will have to deal with ticket buyers after the first of December.

But if just over 80 per cent have now been vaccinated (6.9 million inhabitants of the Swedish population, 81.7 per cent have been vaccinated), we hope that this figure is in line with our ticket buyers.

Organizationally and logistically, I can not answer yet.

"Safety factor"

Ahlerup believes that the forthcoming event will benefit from the introduction of vaccination passes.

- Many who have been vaccinated may have been a little unsafe to go to sports or other, and I think that with this, a safety factor is built.

The Floorball World Cup will be decided in Uppsala, November 27 to December 5.
