The Jamaican made his last race appearance at the World Championships in London 2017 when he injured himself and was forced to cancel on the fourth and final leg of the 4x100 meter final.

This weekend, he lined up and ran a charity race over 1.45 kilometers in Dubai to raise money for organizations that work with children and young people with functional variations.

- Sports are very important to unite people.

For me, it is extremely important.

For example, crime goes down to almost zero when the Olympics are shown in Jamaica.

Sport is so important in this world.

And when the World Cup is shown, everyone watches it too, says Bolt.

"Working on my music"

During his visit to the United Arab Emirates, he spent time with fans, signed autographs and posed for pictures with his patented gesture of victory.

He also told about his new life after the successful career which included eleven World Cup golds, eight Olympic golds and the current world records in 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meters.

- I have three children, two boys and a girl, which is my main focus right now.

Then I also work on my music.

I really like working with music and have just released my album.

It's called "Country Yutes" so people can always check it out, says Bolt.

Footnote:

"Yute" is Jamaican slang for "youth", that is, youth.

The title of the album is an allusion to when Bolt as a child moved from the country to the capital Kingston.
