Last weekend's Swedish premiere in Idre gave mixed results for Stina Nilsson.

In Sunday's short distance she finished twelfth, but even though the shooter left a lot to be desired, she had the fastest ride of all.

Even faster than Elvira Öberg who made the course of her life.

Nilsson is the most remarkable name in the Swedish national team squad that was presented today.

- In Idre, I felt what I felt all autumn, that the riding is very good.

Physically, the form is good and I am really happy with how I shot the distance as well, so I take that with me, says the 28-year-old.

Sports director: "It feels just right"

After several fine efforts in the IBU Cup last season, Nilsson got the chance in the World Cup final this spring.

She then finished 26th in the sprint and 22nd in the hunt start.

This time she is there from the start.

- Really great fun really!

It will be great fun to get the chance here in the beginning and I am very happy, says Nilsson.

- Now I have been selected for these competitions and intend to do it as well as possible, then I will see where it leads me.

But right now all the focus is on Östersund, she continues.

The association's sports director Anna-Maria Uusitalo says this about the competition:

- Stina has continued to take big steps, we saw during the weekend in Idre that she is doing very well in terms of riding.

It feels quite right that she gets continued confidence to run the World Cup.

SVT broadcasts the competitions in Östersund.

Stina Nilsson must show the class as a biathlete, and quite immediately, if she is to come to the Olympics in February.
