11 years in prison for 3 thieves who stole the daughter of the "Godfather of Formula" and the Chelsea coach

A British court yesterday sentenced three men to 11 years in prison for a series of robberies, one of which ended in the theft of a record $34 million from the daughter of former Formula One godfather Bernie Ecclestone.

Two of them, Alessandro Donati, 44, and Alessandro Maltezi, 45, were sentenced to two years, nine and months in prison, while the third, Yugoslav Jovanovic, 24, was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

The three men, all of Italian nationality, were convicted of three burglaries in December 2019 after pleading guilty.

They will serve a prison sentence in Italy.

Among the victims of these robberies, former Chelsea Football Club coach Frank Lampard, in addition to Tamara Ecclestone and her husband.

At the home of the daughter of the former Formula One godfather, thieves stole cash and gems worth more than 25 million pounds ($33.7 million), which, according to London police, constituted a record amount of burglaries for individuals.

Only part of the stolen items were found.
