After 11 seasons in the cross-country national team, including four World Cup victories, Hanna Falk changed tracks in the spring of 2021. She went from being a sprint specialist to a long-distance skier.

It is an exchange between two extremes, but it does not change the hopes of involvement in the top battles.

- It's about getting a good basic form and then being able to spice it up for certain individual races, says Hanna Falk.

And during the late summer and autumn, she has received several nice messages.

Among other things, a victory before Vasaloppet winner Lina Korsgren.

- Well I got some good races there.

It was important to feel that I did the right things and feel that I was on the track in terms of training.

Will go to most races

She is part of Team Lager 157 and has colleagues such as the long-distance running stars Britta Johansson Norgren and Emil Persson.

-It means that every workout is quality assured and you can always see how you are compared to them, says Hanna Falk.

During her career, she has for long periods struggled with back problems, but so far her back is good for stakes and long runs.

- It is definitely better now, but I also spend a lot of time outside of regular training to keep my back in shape.

The idea is that she will ride most of the races in the World Cup Ski Classics.

And it is with newfound motivation that she takes on the challenge.

- I felt immediately when I changed tracks that it was inspiring and motivating.

I look forward to everything this year, both the competitions and that around, says Hanna Falk to SVT Sport.
