The plan was that all fluoride would already be away from World Cup races and championships, as there are high levels of toxic substances in ski valleys - substances that do not degrade in nature and are harmful to humans, animals and plants.

But now only a certain type of fluoride is banned from this season.

These are whey products that are produced with so-called C8 technology.

- Then you lean towards EU legislation, that it is forbidden in the EU to have such products that contain C8, Petter Myhlback explains.

But despite the fact that the Swedish national team uses the permitted wall, there is uncertainty.

For Fis, it has still not been possible to produce a reliable test tool to be able to check the type of wall used on the skiers' skis.

- C8 is banned, what will happen is that we will be visited in the truck by authorities.

During every World Cup weekend?

- No, I do not know.

But I can imagine that in Germany, for example, we will be greeted by the police there.

And then it's all about smuggling goods.

This is not about a rule that Fis has instituted, but about us bringing in illegal products in the country.

And of course, since I'm talking about this, we're doing everything we can to get rid of all that.

- But it's a little scary.

How scary then?

- No, but say that it is a wall manufacturer that says that "this is pure C6 fluorine, this is what you can compete on."

Then I put that trust in this wall manufacturer, but then I in turn have to send it away for analysis before we can compete on it.

For Fis still can not pick up a ski and check?

- No, they can not.

And this will be a chemical analysis that will take a week or so before you get results on it.

- The fluoride ban, we were happy about that.

But this is a little worrying.

It's not that we'll get slow skis, I'm not worried about that.

But precisely that we can feel a legal uncertainty.
