[Beijing Winter Olympics] Shougang Ski Jump, the inspiration source "Flying", will stay forever after the game
[Explanation] The Shougang Ski Jump is the only snow competition venue in the Beijing Division of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Four gold medals will be born here during the Winter Olympics.
On November 11th, the reporter visited the Shougang Ski Jump.
The design of the Shougang ski jumping platform is inspired by the "flying sky" in the ancient Dunhuang murals. The shape of the ribbon flying in the air fits perfectly with the curve of the big jumping platform. Therefore, the Shougang ski jumping platform is also called "snow flying sky".

At the beginning of the design, we combined the angle and inclination of the entire track, combined with the shape of the streamer of the Dunhuang "Flying" mural, the two are more compatible.
We also designed gradient colored streamers on both sides, so it is like the "Flying sky" of Dunhuang murals, so the Shougang Ski Jumping Platform is also called "Xuefeitian".
We also installed an atmosphere light on the inside of the streamer. When it lights up at night, its shape and inclined ladder are a bit like "crystal shoes", so everyone nicknamed it "crystal shoes".
[Commentary] Shougang Ski Jump is located in Shougang Old Industrial Park.
The design and construction personnel fully considered the industrial heritage value of the old factory building and repaired and transformed the original factory and industrial components of Shougang.
While retaining the original architectural style, the project can also satisfy multiple service functions during the Winter Olympic Games.

The supporting service rooms of the Olympic venues are all redesigned and transformed from our original Shougang old factory buildings for the supporting rooms during the competition.
From north to south is the main building of the power plant, which is used as office space for the staff of the game.
Going south is the audience service building, which was transformed from the main factory building of our oxygen plant and used for the sale of some cold meals during the game.
[Explanation] It is reported that after the Winter Olympics, the Shougang Ski Jump will become the world's first permanently reserved and used ski jump venue and become a professional sports competition and training venue.
