Algeria defeated Djibouti 4-0 on Friday in the fifth round of Group A of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Algerian team advanced through Youssef Belaili (29), before Said Ben Rahma added another goal (40), while Sofiane Feghouli secured the third goal (42).

In the 86th minute, Islam Slimani scored the fourth goal for the Algerian team.

The Algerian team raised its score to 13 points at the top of the group, at a time when the Djibouti team is at the bottom of the group’s standings without a balance of points.

Algeria benefited from the failure of its direct rival, Burkina Faso, who tied with Niger 1-1 in a match in the same round in the same group.

Burkina Faso, who will visit Algeria in the last round, raised its score to 11 points in second place, and Niger is third with 4 points.
