Yukari Murata, who participated in the Olympic Games for the second time in a row, will be appointed as the new head of the strengthening headquarters for rhythmic gymnastics of the Japan Gymnastics Association.

The Japan Gymnastics Association held an online Managing Board meeting on the 10th to discuss the head of the strengthening headquarters for the Paris Olympics three years later.



As a result, for gymnastics, Hisashi Mizutori will be appointed for boys and Mitsuru Tanaka will be appointed for girls.



On the other hand, for rhythmic gymnastics, Mr. Murata will succeed Mr. Hiroko Yamazaki, who retired after his term expired.



Mr. Murata is 40 years old.


As a player, he participated in the Sydney Olympic Games and the Athens Olympic Games in a row, and the Sydney Games won the 5th place in the group.


Currently, I am an associate professor at Nippon Sport Science University.


The term of office is until August 2024, when the Paris Olympics end.
