The team is close to the title of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship after harvesting 49 medals

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu team continued achieving achievements and winning medals in the World Championships, for the fourth day in a row, as it raised its tally to 49 colored medals, 18 gold, 14 silver, and 17 bronze.

Today’s competitions were allocated to teams for the men’s and women’s adult category, and our players succeeded in achieving two golds and a bronze, as Zayed Al Kathiri, in the 56 kilograms, and Omar Al-Fadhli, in the 62 kilograms, were crowned with gold, while Hessa Al Shamsi won the bronze in the 52 kilograms.

Russian players are in second place in the tournament with 39 medals, 15 gold, 14 silver, and 10 bronze, while Kazakhstan's team ranked third with 36 colored medals divided into 8 gold, 6 silver, and 22 bronze.

Today's competitions were attended by Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Greek Panagiotos Theodoropolis, President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Federation, and a large number of officials.

The tournament is expected to conclude on Thursday, bringing the curtain down on one of the world's most powerful tournaments.
