The German team's Champions League journey began in the qualifiers where they comfortably beat FC Rosengård with a total of 6-3.

Then they got a dream start in the group game through a 5-0 victory at home against Norwegian Köge.

After that, it has been heavier.

Most recently, it was 0-4 away against Jonas Eidevall's Arsenal and today came the next heavy loss.

Spanish giants Barcelona took the lead after just five minutes - Lieke Martens served Jennifer Hermoso who had to break the deadlock.

14 minutes later it was time again.

"Barca" got a free kick a few meters outside the penalty area and superstar Alexia Putellas stepped forward.

The Spanish midfield giant snorted deliciously 2-0 behind Martina Tufekovic in the Hoffenheim goal.

More would come.

Putellas stepped forward and put 3-0 in the 33rd minute and in the second half she assisted Marta Torrejón to 4-0.

A return meeting between the teams awaits on 17 November.
