Paul Pogba will not play the next two games for the Blues.
The midfielder, "victim of an injury to the quadriceps of the right thigh", must withdraw for Kazakhstan and Finland, qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup, the French Football Federation said on Monday, announcing his replacement by Jordan Veretout.
The Manchester United player was injured in a strike during training at Clairefontaine late Monday afternoon.
He left the field limping, accompanied by the selection doctor, noted AFP journalists.
