Komatsu and Kazuyasu Minobe of fencing, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, participated in the event held in Tokyo.



This project, which is being promoted by JSC = Japan Sports Promotion Center, aims to expand the base of athletes aiming for the Olympics and Paralympics by finding out the characteristics of athletes by measuring physical fitness and recommending conversion to other sports. As a result, four people from the project participated in the Tokyo Paralympics.



One of them, Komatsu, who participated in the Tokyo Paralympics about half a year after starting the competition, said, "The hurdles are not high, and I want you to take on the challenge of what is in front of you."



In addition, Minobe, who used to play karate and volleyball until junior high school, said, "The sports I have experienced, such as how to keep time and jumping power, are alive now."
