After four straight losses, the Red Wings got a taste start away against Buffalo.

Already after 16 seconds, Pius Suter fought in 1-0 after the home team was careless behind their own goal cage.

The Sabers turned 3-1, including after a powerplay goal by Rasmus Dahlin, before another stage change took place.

Tyler Bertuzzi put both 2-3 and 3-3, both on a pass from Swedish Lucas Raymond, and forced the match to extra time.

There, Moritz Seider decided when he put 4-3 for Detroit with his first NHL goal in his career.

In the middle of a change, the German kept away from Buffalo's Rasmus Asplund at the edge, broke into goal and splashed the puck into the net.

- We are of course very happy about the victory.

It was a wonderful comeback for us.

Goalkeeper Alex Nedeljkovic saved us a few times, Seider says afterwards.
