The truth is that it says quite a lot about the 31-year-old from Gävle as well.

Last night, Markström saved all 22 shots and kept his fourth zero for the season - already one more than last season and a new personal best.

And then there are still over 70 games of the season left.

- It says more about the team and how we play than about me.

We have been solid defensively and the guys block shots.

Our numerical disadvantage was cruel today and made the difference for us early in the match, says the Swede at the press conference afterwards.

The most striking save came about 13 minutes into the third period when he robbed Mika Zibanejad who stood right in front of the box and shot.

A save hailed by teammate Matthew Tkachuk.

- I probably had the best place in the whole arena to see it.

He robbed Zibanejad.

He makes difficult rescues look simple, but he does it every night.

He has played incredible hockey for us and gives us the chance to win every night.

Because of him, we have won some matches that we might not have won.

Tkachuk with the delicacy of the match

Offensively, Tkachuk himself was responsible for the delicacy of the match in the big win when he made it 6-0 with just over five minutes left.

The American received the puck in the wrong position in front of the box, but brought the club between his legs and - with his back to the goal - he cracked the puck in the net roof.

A real treat.

- It was fun to see.

He does that in training all the time, but they never work there ..., laughs Jacob Markström.

- We really needed a victory and it was fun to see the boys play today and invite the home fans to this.

Markström best in the NHL

Tkachuk himself about the goal:

- I did not really think, it just happened.

I ended up in a difficult position because I backed towards the goalkeeper, but could not change direction so I thought that was the best way to do it.

When we win 6-0, it does not matter, but it was still fun to see it go in.

Jacob Markström's four held zeros are the best in the NHL so far this season.

He also has a save percentage of 94.2 after nine matches, which is enough for a fifth place in that column, but then it must be said that all the names in front have played fewer matches.

One Ville Husso (St. Louis Blues), for example, has only played one match.
