Zamalek challenges the Football Association .. Shikabala participates in the Al-Ahly match

Zamalek club decided to put captain Mahmoud Abdel-Razzaq (Shikabala) on the list of the team that will play the top match against Al-Ahly next Friday in the third round of the Egyptian Professional League, although the player is still officially suspended from playing by the Football Association.

Shikabala appeared in good physical and technical condition during the team's daily training in preparation for the match.

For his part, Shikabala's lawyer, Kamal Shuaib, confirmed that the player's punishment was legally suspended, indicating that he has the right to participate in the next match against Al-Ahly.

And Shoaib said in statements to the “Koora Every Day” program on Al-Hayat channel: “The Zamalek administration is dealing with the Shikabala Barqi issue and wants to end it amicably.”

He continued, "The ruling that Shikabala obtained by canceling his suspension must be implemented by the Football Association, and today we sent a warning by a report to the Federation, and they did not appeal the decision and the last deadline was today (Tuesday)."

For his part, the managing director of the Zamalek team, Amr Abu Al-Ezz, said that his club sent an official letter to the Football Association and the Association of Clubs to inquire about Shikabala's position on the summit match.

"We sent to inquire about Shikabala's position, and I think that the response will be today, Wednesday, and it will not be long after that," Abu Al-Ezz added in televised statements.

For his part, an official in the Egyptian Olympic Committee revealed that the decision of the Settlement and Arbitration Committee to lift the suspension of Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala is binding on the Football Association and the officials must implement the decision, adding that the International Football Association is not the owner of the right to interfere or amend Shikabala’s punishment, as it was reported, Stressing that the decisions of the arbitration center are subject to Egyptian law, and the Football Association must implement the decisions issued by the center.
