In today's final, the 17-year-old finished eight - and further improved the record.
Fast hung on well during the first length - at the turn she was in fourth place and had swum faster than in the semifinals.
When she then put her hand in the tile, it was like eight, in the time 1.05.10 - one hundredth faster than in the semifinal time.
- I am very happy that I was able to swim faster, if only by one hundredth, says Fast to SVT Sport afterwards.
