The UAE beach soccer team will face Spain tomorrow in the Confederations Cup

The Beach Soccer Confederations Cup, organized by the Dubai Sports Council for the tenth time, in cooperation with the Beach Soccer Committee of the International Federation and the Emirates Football Association, will kick off tomorrow, Tuesday, at Kite Beach Stadium in Umm Suqeim, from 2 to 6 November, with the participation of the best eight teams around the world.

The UAE team begins its campaign against Spain at 5:15 p.m., and is preceded by a match between Portugal and Senegal at 4 p.m. in the first group matches, while the first day’s competitions will continue with two matches in Group B, where the Russian team will meet with its Japanese counterpart in the hour. Seven to a quarter, and the teams of Iran and Paraguay will meet at eight o'clock in the evening.

Ali Hamad Al-Badwawi, member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association and Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee, said: "We trust the players' ability to appear at an honorable level, provide a strong performance, reach an advanced position during the competitions of the first round of the tournament, and achieve positive results that qualify them to reach the final rounds."

Al-Badwawi appreciated the interest and support of the Board of Directors of the Football Association for the game in general and the team in particular by providing all the needs of the team, such as gatherings, friendly matches and others, noting that this support gives the team a strong moral impulse that increases the players’ determination to achieve a new and honorable achievement for the Emirati beach soccer.

In turn, the national coach, Mohammed Al-Mazmi, confirmed that the team is fully ready to compete in the championship, stressing that the ambition in this version is greater and is represented in reaching the final rounds and competing strongly to grab the championship title after it achieved third place in the last version, noting that the players have great experience in dealing With matches as a result of their participation in many international tournaments, the most recent of which is the World Cup in Russia 2021
