Bayern Munich coach returns to lead the team after recovering from Corona

Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann revealed today, Monday, that he will return to lead the team, starting from the match scheduled against Benfica, Portugal, tomorrow, Tuesday, in the Champions League competitions, after recovering from the new Corona virus infection.

In his statements to reporters today, Nagelsmann said that his recent tests came with negative results, and he can now be in the stadium as soon as those results are confirmed through a "BCR" test tomorrow morning, Tuesday.

"I'm looking forward to being allowed back to the touchline," Nagelsmann said.

He added, "I feel fine. Of course I still notice some effects in my body, but this is normal. I think and hope that the results of a test tomorrow morning will be negative, so that I can return to the team."

And the tests had revealed that Nagelsmann had contracted the Corona virus before the first leg against Benfica, which was held in Portugal two weeks ago, and he has been subjected to health isolation since that time.

Nagelsmann missed Bayern's leadership in four games, including the match that witnessed the team's historic defeat against Borussia Moenchengladbach 0-5 in the German Cup.

Bayern Munich conceded two more goals during the match that it won against Union Berlin 5/2 yesterday, Saturday, in the German League, but its net has not been shaken by any goals in the Champions League so far, and its players scored 12 goals and the team scored nine points during the three matches.

Bayern Munich will qualify for the second round of the Champions League if they win tomorrow's match.

Bayern Munich beat Benfica 4-0 in Lisbon and all the goals came late in the game, and Nagelsmann warned that Benfica "has a strong mentality and a lot of experience."

He added, "We will try to raise our score to 12 points and qualify for the second round. We want to continue displaying our strong levels."
