The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, represented in its "Generation Amazing" social responsibility programme, and the Qatar Football Association signed a partnership agreement with the Aurora Foundation for Training and Development, to launch an initiative within the Football for Development Program.

The initiative, called "A Common Arab Goal", aims to develop the capabilities of young football players between 16 and 17 years of age, and to provide them with life skills that will help them provide role models for individuals in their communities.

The 2021 Arab Cup - hosted by Qatar at the end of November - will witness close cooperation between Generation Amazing, the Asian Football Confederation, and the Confederation of African Football, to build a network of young Arab players, committed to advancing social change in Arab societies through football activities.

The training program - which will be implemented with the support of leading educators in the field of sports for development - consists of 5 main aspects that have been prepared with the aim of engaging partners in youth development by encouraging them to cooperate closely in order to bring about positive change that contributes to the prosperity of their societies.

Upon completion of the programme, players will be directed and encouraged to spread the values ​​of the Football for Development program among the people to which they belong, through cooperation with football federations and local organizations in their countries.

Empowering Arab Youth

"We are pleased to participate in this important and purposeful initiative, which is a milestone in the efforts made to empower our youth and develop their skills," said Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the Qatar Football Association.

The "Shared Arab Goal" initiative comes within the framework of the commitment of the Generation Amazing Program and the Aurora Foundation for Training and Development towards upgrading educational programs to support cooperation and strategic alliances concerned with developing youth skills and empowering them through sports activities.
